Located north west of Toronto, just on the outskirts of Brampton, Cheltenham Badlands boasts some of the most amazing views of the geological formations of exposed shales. Now that’s something for you to look up if you’re into geography.
The best time to visit this place is in Autumn, where you get to see the Fall Colours. You can either go directly to the viewing area or take a short & easy hike there. The limited paid parking space gets filled up very fast on weekends. To avoid that, you could take the free shuttle from nearby Terra Cotta park.
There is a pleasant walk though the forest to a viewing platform that is near the road. Beware if it is wet the trail can be quite slippery. Alternatively there is a short walk from the parking lot to the viewing platform beside the road.
Do take note that the badlands are closed during Winter/Spring Season (Oct onwards). For any questions, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
