1. EID Halal Korean Food, Itaewon

The Ginseng Chicken Soup will leave you salivating

EID is by far the best halal Korean restaurant that we have eaten in. Their menus are really simple and straight forward, which helps you to make decisions quickly. Their Ginseng Chicken Soup (Samgyetang) is extremely delicious, and honestly, you can’t get this taste anywhere else in the world. The chicken is so tender and just falls apart and the broth is so calming and refreshing. Their Beef Bulgogi is also very sumptuous. Their prices are also very reasonable considering the portions. These 2 dishes are a definite must try when you dine here. We loved it here so much!

2. Murree Muslim Food, Itaewon

Some delicious Kimchi Pancake

Murree Muslim Food is another great restaurant to have authentic halal Korean cuisine. The restaurant is cozy, the staff are friendly, prices are affordable and food is delicious. We loved their kimchi pancakes and Bibimbap. Definitely a must try in Seoul!

And right after having a hearty meal, head over to the only masjid in Seoul to catch your Salah, which is just a 5 minutes walk away from the restaurant. Seoul Central Mosque is a beautiful Masjid with amazing views as it sits pretty high up.

3. Street Food in Namdaemun/Dongdaemun Market

Truth is, apart from Itaewon, it is really hard to find authentic and delicious halal tasty food. While the street foods are not exactly certified halal, as long as there are no meat or non-halal ingredients involved, they are safe to eat.  Our favourites are Teokpokki (Spicy Rice Cakes), Pajeon (Green Onion Pancake), Kimbap (similar to Sushi) and Bungeoppang, the fish shaped bread that has red bean or custard filling in it.

And that’s our tips to get the best authentic halal Korean food available is Seoul. Interested in visiting S. Korea? Check out our top 8 places to visit in Seoul right here. We also have a post on Jeju Island right here. Do email us at [email protected] for any questions!
