Lions Bay Beach Park, Lions Bay, British Columbia

Extremely underrated, yet having that very private feel, Lions Bay Beach Park is a perfect place to bring your kids and just put down your picnic mats and soak up the sun on a nice summer day. And if you’re not into that, you can go for a dip in the waters. They have a cordoned zone that’s safe to swim in. There’s also a wooden platform there where you can just lie on and get your vitamin D while swimming. You can even bring your own kayaks and sail out to nearby islands. There is a small playground in the vicinity for kids to play and keep them busy while you read your book.

Limited Free Parking Spots

Why is it so underrated you ask? Its probably due to the extremely limited parking available in the area. Lions Bay is a really small town and everything is privately owned by people. To help you out, I’ve shown some possible locations where you could park your car without worrying about getting a ticket! They are few but if its all filled, you can always park at the park & ride.
