Dog Mountain, located within Mount Seymour Provincial Park, is an easy hike with amazing views of Vancouver from the peak. The hike only takes 2 hours in total, and has minimum elevation, which makes it a very easy and fun hike. It’s best to get here early, as it does get crowded as the trail is very near the city, making it very easily accessible.

2 hours (return); Difficulty: Easy; Distance: 5km; Dog Friendly (on leash)

Drive all the way up Seymour Provincial Park that leads to the ski/snowboard area. Set your GPS to Mt Seymour Resort or 1700 Mt Seymour Rd, North Vancouver, BC V7G 1L3, Canada. After parking your car there, make your way to the trailhead (above).

Feel the true epitome of Winter Wonderland.

Be careful when stepping out of the trail. The snow is usually packed in and you’d find yourself in knee deep if you miss your step.

This bridge marks the intersection between Dog mountain and Mt Seymour. Turn left for Dog Mountain, and right for the latter.

Definitely need a bit of luck to avoid the fog, but still a beautiful sight. Even better on a clear day.
